The concept
I within my music video have decided to use  Goodwin’s theory of illustrating the concept rather then narrative as it suits the song i have chosen "your guardian angel" by 'The Red JumpSuit' and the story-board i planned out. This song is quite emotional and is about missing someone and friendship which relates to the concept i'm wanting to create which is to mend friendship during this i will take allot of shots of friends and flash backs and symbolised items, maybe a band playing but definatly acoustic guitar.

Locations
I have decided to film my music video in several locations such as when im playing the guitar either at my house or my mates to represent being alone and isolated from others, i also want to film part of my music video either on a grassy field or woods as i want to get across the feeling of searching for a friend as this is the main theme of my music video, the band scenes will most likely be filmed in school either in PDH as its a drama zoom and i can set up lightings or in a music room and lastly i'll choose and set up random areas of my choosing to show more of a concept side to my music video.

Costume 
The main costume i want is the stereotypical boy band look with the chinos, shirt and tie or smart and or casual ware to go with my chosen music which is a indie rock genre these cloths both advertise and represent the genre as well as the band and or artist, also as the clothing is plain and not too outstanding the main focus will be on the lyrics and props which is what i intend todo.

I choose this song Red jump suit Your guardian angel because it relates to my genre as its indie rock also because it relates well to my story-line and storyboard i created, this song is also good to edit around a concept type of music video and can also fit with a narrative in which i will be using bits of both elements.

I have variety of images showing the type of fashion and clothing that i'm going to be using in the music video. These clothes will be used in the music video worn by the characters.

 


The clothing that i have chosen to use in our video help show the conventions of the genre. The clothes can be seen as casual with ties and shirts,jackets chinos, coverse and or smart shoes. using this convention it allows the image of the band/artist to represents a variety of different audiences. Colours of the clothing pieces are plain and casual.This makes the main focus of the music video the instruments and props and the lyrics of sang the song rather than the audience being focused on the outfit of the artist. The main focus of the image of my artist will be the instruments, locations, characters and lyrics used in the video , allowing audience to get into the music and lyrics of the song which will help audience to focus on the artists music. The clothes relate with the indie-rock genre are formal and casual, hip-hop like or street.

I Have created a pie chart based on the audience feedback i have been given by those who read my survey overall the majority of people who read the survey have said they do listen to indie rock and would like to see it more within the charts however its the the most popular genre that they listen too.

Mood-board

This is a indie-rock mood-board i've found pictures of things that symbolise indie-rock which are the stereotypical band theme with the band and there instruments, also things such as T-shirt merchandise as many famous bands have selling products, also the theme of being on holiday is shown in many indie rock music videos and some also containing partying or the band backstage having fun, mucking around or having a drink up.

Though these are the main qualities of indie rock music videos my music video will have a slightly altered concept not showing the stereotype of a party like mood rather a more kind of friendship theme and friends having good and bad times and sorting things out

The artists are portrayed within indie rock in a boy-band style many of the music videos contain young performers singing about life and good times and love and are going for the leather jacket or smart shirts with tight jeans or chinos look many photos of these artists are taken in black and white to give them the young innocent look.

Another convention within the genre is the boy-bands playing instruments the main ones being drums and either electric or acoustic guitars with the majority of the shots within the music videos focusing on the band and them playing their instruments and them lip-singing showing the concept and ideas of their theme.
